CAAN Academy of Nursing
is a not-for-profit 501C3 Practical Nursing Program. Designed for the Adult and High School learner, preparing students to take the NCLEX-PN exam to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
CAAN has national accreditation through the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
CAAN has approval to operate through both the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE)
and Illinois Department of Finance and Professional Regulations (IDFPR).
CAAN Academy of Nursing, programs’ uniqueness is related to the Professional Development (PD) Component, threaded throughout the program. This component promotes a holistic approach to teaching nursing education encompassing mind, body and spirit. In order to accomplish this objective CAAN has multiple collaborations with organizations such as; SkillsUSA, American Kidney Foundation (AKF),American Cancer Society (ACS), Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) and the Veterans of Foreign War Ladies (VFW) Auxiliary for students to practice providing community healthcare awareness and education.
